ST. HELENA, Calif. (September 16, 2019) – Consistency is important in the world of motorsports, and St. Helena, California’s Rico Abreu certainly accomplished consistency during the recent weekend, ending his three-day, World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign in California with a trio of top-ten finishes.
Abreu, driver of the Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing/Abreu Vineyards/Curb Records/Golden State Restaurant Group/Lucas Oil Products/Southern Pacific Farms/Priority Aviation/Self Made Racing/Dancer Logistics/Dewalt Tools/MAC Tools/No. 24 sprint car, joined the Greatest Show On Dirt during starts at Placerville Speedway on Wednesday, September 11, Stockton Dirt Track on Friday, September 13, and Calistoga Speedway on Saturday, September 14, finishing eighth, sixth and eighth, respectively.
The highlight of his weekend, Abreu’s sixth place finish at Stockton Dirt Track was the result of a bump from the outside of row four, earning his feature starting position by finishing third during his respective heat race.
Taking all three outcomes into consideration, Abreu now owns 44 top-ten finishes in 63 starts, 12 of the 44 top-tens accomplished during World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series competition.
“It was a long weekend, but a solid weekend for our team. I’m proud of everyone,” Rico Abreu said, who owns five victories in 2019. “Of course, we want to win races, but consistency is the next best thing and we’ve certainly figured out a way to master consistency.”
Rico Abreu and Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing will continue their 2019 campaign with a doubleheader at Placerville Speedway in Placerville, California, on Friday and Saturday, September 20 & 21. The two-day NorCal Posse Shootout will feature 360c.i. sprint cars, only.
